Welcome to Somni, a dream journaling and AI interpretation app operated by Srinivas Krishnan, an individual, doing business as Empire K ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Somni mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Somni, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Somni is developed and operated by Srinivas Krishnan, an individual based in Malaysia, doing business as Empire K. Somni is not currently operated through an incorporated company. References to "we," "our," or "us" throughout these Terms and our Privacy Policy refer to Srinivas Krishnan individually.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if you are located in the EU/EEA) to use Somni. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Somni with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using Somni, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Somni is a dream journaling app that allows you to record dreams (by text or voice), receive AI-generated interpretations, and explore astrology, numerology, Human Design, and related content across several systems (Western, Vedic, BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Numerology, and Human Design), based on birth details you provide. Somni also includes features such as streaks, milestones, cosmic art generation, and a Pro subscription tier with expanded access.
Somni's dream interpretations, astrological readings, numerology reports, Human Design charts, and all related AI-generated or app-generated content are provided for entertainment, personal reflection, and self-exploration purposes only.

You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on content in the App. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, financial hardship, medical concern, or any other serious personal issue, please seek help from a qualified professional or, in an emergency, your local emergency services. Somni is not designed or intended to provide that help, and nothing in the App should delay or replace you seeking it.
To use most features of Somni, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, including birth details used to generate astrological and numerological content. Somni also offers a limited Guest Mode, described in our Privacy Policy, which does not require an account.
Somni Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered through the Apple App Store (and Google Play, where available). By subscribing, you authorize the applicable app store to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
"User Content" means the dream entries, birth details, journal text, voice recordings, and any other content you submit to Somni. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited license to use, process, and store it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App — including sending it to third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy — and not for any other purpose, including AI model training or resale.
You agree not to submit User Content that is unlawful, infringes on another person's rights, or that you do not have the right to submit.

The App, including its design, branding, features, and underlying software (but excluding your User Content), is owned by Srinivas Krishnan / Empire K and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
Somni relies on third-party providers — including Supabase, Anthropic, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Expo — to operate core features. These providers' handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or acts or omissions of these third-party services.
SOMNI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any dream interpretation, astrological reading, or other AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Srinivas Krishnan or Empire K be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) Somni, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Somni will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Srinivas Krishnan and Empire K from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of the App.
You may stop using Somni and delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@mysomni.app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, without prior notice where circumstances warrant.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of Somni after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Somni will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, except where applicable local law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
